Partners

The businesses behind the blue and gold.

Club cricket runs on volunteers and the local businesses who back them. Our partners keep match balls in the bag, kit on the players and the Colts on the park. Here is who they are and how to join them.

Major partner

The Greenroof, Hamilton.

The Greenroof on Tudor Street is the club's major partner and its second home. Saturday nights after play, the season launch and the Old Boys Luncheon all happen under its roof.

Every team announcement the club posts carries the Greenroof as presenting partner, its logo sits on the playing kit, and when the Pumas win it is where the story gets told. If you are a Hamwicks supporter, drink there.

  • 71 Tudor Street, Hamilton. A short walk from Passmore Oval and Hamilton station.
  • Home of the Old Boys Luncheon. Tuesday 24 November 2026 from 12pm.
  • Where the club gathers. After every home game and most away ones too.

Why partner with Hamwicks

What your business gets back.

A club partnership is not a donation. It puts your name in front of players, families and Old Boys across inner Newcastle every week of the summer.

Presenting partner, every round

Team announcements for every grade go out on Instagram and Facebook each week with the presenting partner's name on them. That is twenty-plus posts a season with your brand attached.

On the kit

Playing shirts, training gear and the club polo carry partner logos. Four senior grades, the Devs, the women's side and the Colts wear them all summer.

At Passmore Oval

Signage at the home ground, seen by players, parents and spectators on every game day and training night.

At every club event

Recognition at the season launch, Ladies Day, the Old Boys Luncheon, trivia night and presentation night. Partners are introduced, not just listed.

A real local audience

Players, partners, parents and Old Boys who live, work and spend in Hamilton, Wickham and the surrounding suburbs. The people most likely to use a local business.

Keeping kids on the park

Partner money keeps junior fees down and the women's side growing. It is the kind of support a community notices and talks about.

Ways to get involved

Pick the level that fits.

Partnership levels are set by the committee each season. Ask for the 2026/27 partner pack and we will put the detail and pricing in front of you.

Major partner

Top billing across kit, signage, socials and every event. One business, one season or longer.

Team partner

Back a single side: a senior grade, the women's team or the Colts. Your name on their announcements and kit.

Club supporter

A smaller annual contribution, a 100 Club number and recognition at events. The easiest way in.

In-kind support

Trades, printing, food and drink, raffle prizes or a venue. Often worth more to a club than cash.

The 100 Club

Back the club for the price of a number.

Not a business? The 100 Club is the supporters' way in. Buy a number for the season and you are in every draw after home games and at club events through the summer.

Numbers go on sale at pre-season training and the season launch. The money goes straight to match balls, pitch covers and the gear that keeps a volunteer club running.

Partner questions

What businesses ask us.

How much does a partnership cost?

Levels are set by the committee each season and depend on what is included. Ask for the current partner pack and the treasurer will walk you through the options. There is a level for a sole trader as well as a major partner.

Can I sponsor just one team?

Yes. Team partnerships are available for individual senior grades, the women's side and the Colts. Your business is named on that team's weekly announcements and kit.

What does the club actually do with the money?

Match balls, ground and umpire fees, training equipment, kit for juniors and the women's side, and the events that keep the club together. Hamwicks is run by volunteers, so partner money goes to cricket, not wages.

Is a partnership tax deductible?

Sponsorship paid by a business for advertising and promotion is generally treated as a business expense. The club is not a registered charity, so a donation is not a deductible gift. Check with your accountant for your own situation.

Can I offer products or services instead of cash?

Absolutely. In-kind support such as printing, trades, catering, prizes or a venue is recognised the same way as a cash partnership at an equivalent level.

When is the best time to come on board?

Before the season launch in September or October, so your logo is on the kit and the first team announcements. Mid-season partnerships are welcome too and run through to presentation night.
